Graduate Electrical Engineer

About the role:

Due to expansion, they seek a Graduate Electrical Engineer for their Kuala Lumpur Office in Malaysia. You will be responsible for applying your knowledge of electrical engineering principles and techniques to support the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to the success of various projects. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge, gain practical experience and grow as a professional electrical engineer.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Design:

  • Assist in the engineering design and drafting of substation electrical systems.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support design decisions and problem-solving activities.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to create electrical schematics, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in the selection of appropriate materials, components, and equipment for electrical systems.

 

Project Support:

  • Support senior engineers in project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Assist in preparing project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.

 

Continuous Learning and Professional Development:

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in electrical engineering;
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge;
  • Engage in professional networking activities and seek mentorship from experienced engineers;
  • Proactively contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements and innovation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, theories, and concepts;
  • Familiarity with electrical design and simulation software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment;
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work;
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges;
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to electrical engineering.
